The national teams that have lost the most World Cup finals

Germany is the national team that has lost the final of a World Cup several times. There are four defeats in the final for the Germans (1966, 1982, 1986 and 2002), who lead this particular ranking alone.

Although, before Qatar 2022, 21 editions of the World Cup have been played, there are "just" eight national teams that can count at least one lost final.

Germany is also the national team to have played the most times in the final of the World Cup, reached in eight editions and won four times.
