The Wifecarring originated in Finland in 1992 and takes place every year in early July. The race consists of an obstacle course in which competitors must carry their wives on their shoulders overcoming pools of water and barriers. The fall of the wife carries a penalty of 15 seconds. The first arrival wins a quantity of beer equal to the weight of his wife.
